Looks like there is another new channel, Vijay TV, which is not Star Vijay, is gonna start in the near future by Illayathalapathy Vijay. He had also got the license under his father's name S A Chandrasekar to make it out. Captain's TV, yes Captain Vijayakanth, the cheif of MDMK gonna start a TV channel soon and already he got the license to start a TV channel and another one in this race is Newspaper Dinathanthi. They launched their TV channel named Polimer yesterday in Chennai.
In Tamizh regional television channels most of them are being promoted by the politicians and obviously they attract their fans/party members with this. I knew people who change their set top boxes for some particular political channel.
