Vijay TV in collaboration with Surf Excel is organizing a different talent hunt show for children titled as Surf Excel – Little Big Film Makers. The motive of the show is to encourage kids, their creativity, their story telling abilities and giving them an opportunity to direct their own film.
As a part of initial screening more Vijay TV was conducted a story writing competition over 100 schools located in Chennai, Trichy and Coimbatore, on the title ‘Karai Nalladhu’ (Dirt is good) for the kids aged between 10 to 14 years and have shortlisted few interesting stories.
The shortlisted contestants will be participating in the reality show “Surf Excel Little Big Film Makers” that Vijay TV launches on 13 Feb 2011 and airing every Sunday at 10 am. Director AR Murugadoss and actress Suhasini Maniratnam are playing pivotal roles in judging the stories and are handling the show too.
The 16 shortlisted stories would then be narrated to these judges; who then shortlist the best 8 of them. The chosen kids would be put under the guidance of well established ad film makers who would help them in the production of their films. Finally the winning story will be made as a ad film, which will be carried out as an endorsement for Surf Excel.
The chosen kids and the entire production of these short films including pre/post, scripting, shooting etc., would be a part of this show. Every week the viewers get a sneak peek into these short films being made by these little film makers.
