The fourth annual UniverCell Vijay Awards, held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium on May 29, was a glittering affair. Of the 131 films released in 2009, winners from 32 different categories were announced that evening.
Superstar Rajnikanth was presented with the Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan award for Excellence in Indian Cinema.
Several stars performers such as Sneha dancing to a folk medley, Divya Spandana in western mode and singer Karthik's rock versions of popular Tamil numbers, lit up the stage. Watch out for the glitz and glamour in this two-part programme to be telecast on June 21 and 22.
