Ramzan Special
The festival season has arrived and we won’t be left behind in celebrating with sweets and of course movies. This is the Ramadan weekend and what better way to cherish the day than with a home-made biriyani and a handful of movies. Vijay TV never fails to entertain viewers with its inventive programs and latest movies.
Fans can watch the premiere of two latest movies on Vijay TV on Friday, the 10th of September. Just at the stroke of lunch, at 12 noon, viewers can enjoy the suspense and thrills of Renigunta which was critically acclaimed. If one is not enough, you can laugh your lungs out with the comedy caper Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru starring Ajmal at 3 PM on the same day. Eid Mubarak.
Whats up with Meera and En Peyar Meenakshi
Vijay TV launched two serials – ‘Meera' and ‘En Peyar Meenakshi' – this past week.
Meera: (Monday to Friday, 8 p.m.) Meera is the tale of a soft-spoken woman hailing from an orthodox Brahmin family. She works as a nurse in a hospital.
One day, while returning home she finds a baby; its mother's whereabouts are not known.
She takes the baby home but circumstances make her leave home. In a new city, Meera dons the role of a mother. Will she find love? Will the mother of the abandoned child return?
The role of Meera is played by Srija.
The serial is directed and produced by Kavita Bharathi. Hari Krishna has scored the music.
En Peyar Meenakshi: (Monday to Friday, 8.30 p.m.) Meenakshi is all excited about her forthcoming wedding and so is her school teacher father. On the wedding day, the groom is kidnapped. Sakthi, one of Meenakshi's father's students, comes to the rescue and is forced to marry her. Meenakshi is played by Harsha. Veteran actor Delhi Kumar plays Meenakshi's father and Siddharth is Sakthi. The story is written, directed and produced by C. Jerrold.

Neeya Naana Gopinath Apology Vijay Fans
Neeya Naaana a popular talk show that has been so interesting and quite popular among vijay TV viewers had been conducted by Mr.Gopinath for the past few years. On August 29,2010 show there was an argument which is a critic on popular tamil actor vijay. One of the show participants urged Mr.Vijay the top tamil actor to act in good story line and not to rely on telugu remakes and similar kind of storyline.
This made vijay fans angry and they felt that the show organizer Mr.Gopinath must apoligize thalapathi’s fans. As a measure to soothe top tamil talapathi, Gopinath has come out with a apology notice to Vijay Fans.

MEERA AND EN PEYAR MEENATCHI
Vijay TV has launched two new mega serials Meera and En Peyar Meenatchi on September 6th, 2010. While Meera is being aired during the 8-8:30 pm slot, En Peyar Meenatchi is televised during the 8:30-9 pm slot.
Both serials are women-centric and revolve around the travails of a woman. A press-note from Vijay TV states, “One story depicts what happens to a girl whose marriage is halted due to unforeseen circumstances and in another a girl ends in a totally unexpected wedlock with a new guy altogether.”
Srija plays the role of Meera and the serial is directed and produced by Kavita Bharathi. Harsha makes her debut with En Peyar Meenatchi. C. Jerrold has directed and produced this serial.
