HR Vs Employees
This week in Neeya Naana it will be HR Vs Employees... yet again this week it would be very very good show.. with the topic so interesting. So, having said that it would be interesting.. what to expect from this week's episode ??? .. i dont think anything would change with this show bcos all the corporate cultures that are followed in many companies dont get to change untill they themselves need a change.. but the topic is good and interesting to speak alone.. :)
Property talk
What all to look when we buy a house or sell a house.. and more questions that we tend to ask when we buy/sell any property. This show will make us understand all the needs/requirements for any property and this will also ensure that we are aware about things. This will be definitely a very very good show and hopefully they dont promote any builders as they did for SRM college in kanaa kaanum kaalangal.. I think this show will also make us meet many big property giants.. yet another good one from Star Vijay TV..
This show will be from tomorrow evening 5.00 pm..

Vijay TV VJ Ramya of Kalakapovathu yaaru and Ungalil yaar adutha Prabhudeva fame had won the dream kitchen this week in Ashirvaad's Samayal Samayal.. she had been winning for last 2 weeks and today was her final round to prove herself in cooking. She had come with her mother and Swetha and her mom was competing against Ramya. The topic given to them was with traditional food.
Swetha team prepared "Akkaravadisal" and Ramya team prepared "kezhvaragu morkadi" and "vethal kuzhambu".. the judge chose Ramya as the winner and she takes home the dream modular kitchen.

Boring kkk
This whole week of Kanaa kaanum kaalangal was boring.. I think its time to bring up the new crew or is it bcos the schools are closed they are not coming ;).. I wish they make the serial interesting. What do u guys think ??? do u find it interesting these days ?? or is it bcos we dont see Shree, Puli, Kishan and Madan so I am finding it to be boring...
Its Premgopal..
It is Premgopal to get selected for the finals of the Ungalil yaar adutha Prabhudeva show.. This week it was the first semifinals of the show and there was 1 contestant to be selected for the finals.. and further next week there would be another contestant selected for the finals... this week it is Premgopal who is from Srilanka got selected for the finals. His first performance with the Srilankan tamil issue concept made him through to the finals..his expressions and dance was too good that made him to go thru. that particular episode was touching one..
Comedy actors with Anu !!!
This week in Koffee with Anu, it will be 3 comedy actors who have been in tamil film industry for quite long time.. they are ... Vaiyapuri, Mayilsamy and Pandu. I am sure this week's show will be really interesting and funny with these guests.
Dont miss to watch this show tonite..
Mayalogam goes to Tanjore
This week it would be Tanjore in Ran India's Mayalogam.. after Swamimalai and Kumbakonam it was obvious that Tanjore is not so far.... good that this crew is going to places across the state. Hopefully once all the main places in the state is over.. will the Mayalogam team come outside the state ???
Its really good concept from the Vijay TV team to go to places and interact withe public and show them magic.. moreover many of the magic acts have the public to participate in the act..

HQ Vijay TV Channel Video...
Here is the Vijay TV channel video that comes quite frequently these days in the channel.. I really liked this video... as it is very simple and very sweet.. It was all leading artists of the Vijay TV.. enjoy this...
Whats in Semifinals of UYAP ????
Semifinals of the Ungalil yaar adutha Prabhudeva show had started today and it looks like its going to be a breathtaking event.. The show will have 2 weeks of semifinals.. so this week is called as Semifinals 1 and each of the semifinals.... the top 4 contestants Sai Pallavi, Nanda, Sherif and Premgopal will be performing dance for 2 numbers. so overall it would be 4 performances from them for the judges to choose the finalists.. Also, there would be only 1 contestant selected for the finals with this round.. and I guess others would join in for wild card round ;)...
Arya & Vishnuvardhan in Semifinals..
Actor Arya and director Vishnuvardhan are the special judges for this week's Ungalil yaar adutha Prabhudeva... its the semifinals going on with top 4 contestants of the show.. Nanda, Sherif, Saipallavi and Premgopal.. it will be a very tough for the judges to choose the finalists.. having said that today's performance by the contestants were really good and difficult to choose amongst them..
NDTV's MetroNation Chennai from 16 May
The recession may have sucked profitability out of NDTV Ltd, but it has not stopped the Prannoy Roy-promoted company to go ahead with the launch of MetroNation Chennai with The Hindu Group as a joint venture partner. The channel will, after much delay, finally launch on 16 May. Says NDTV MetroNation CEO Rajiv Lulla, “MetroNation Chennai had a soft launch on 5 May. We will officially launch the channel on 16 May.”
NDTV has signed up with several multi-system operators (MSOs) including SCV and Hathway Cable & Datacom to distribute the channel. Says Lulla, “We are in talks to make the channel available on Sun Direct and Tata Sky as well.” As for the content, the channel will have seven and half hours of live news during prime time. Features like I Spy With My Digital Eye, Worked Out Victim, Unclocking Life and Big Pic will take up the remaining hours. MetroNation Chennai has 118 employees and hopes to capitalise on the brand strengths of The Hindu and NDTV.
Meanwhile, MetroNation Delhi, which has frozen fresh content, is readying for a revival. “We will be reviving MetroNation Delhi by end of July. It is by then that we will start hiring for the channel once again,” avers Lulla. The channel has stopped live broadcast of news completely and is airing old shows. Says Lulla, “While it is true that there is no fresh content on MetroNation Delhi, we are still running news tickers.”

Friendly Match Round, Day 3
Friendly match round of Airtel Super Singer 2008 had got over today.. and it was really very good performances by the top 5 contestants.. this even says that the finals would be very very competitive.. and its difficult to choose anyone.. Today it was Ravi and Ajeesh to compete for a mobile phone first..
Ajeesh and Madhumitha (participant of Airtel Super Singer 2008) were to first perform... their "aathankara marame" was quite good.. I thought Madhumitha was lacking lil behind.. Ravi came up with his childhood friend Shankar Narayan and their "om shivoham" of "naan kadavul" was very very impressive... the song had lot of slokas in the midst and they did it with ease.
There was a bumber round that had a laptop as gift for the winner.. this competition was with Renu, Prasanna and Ravi.. Renu was the first to start wtih "kannuku mai azhagu" and she was quite good. Prasanna's "aasai nooru vagai" ROCKED the stage.. but it was Ravi's "ullathil nalla ullam" that made the judges speechless.. and they gave the laptop to Ravi...

The Airtel Super Singer 2008 contestants Madhumitha and Bhargavi participated in Apoorva Ragangal program and they were in junior version in the show.. This video will make u really smile for a while seeing their performances.. way to go..if we see them now its really great...
Devipriya Vs Michael
It would be Devipriya Vs Michael in Challenge round of Boys Vs Girls this week.. the challenge is to dance either hands or legs tied.. not sure what this challenge is being named... ;)... but from the promotional video it looks like this challenge will be really interesting. Michael as classic as he could in his dance..he performs a peppy number.. on the other side Devipriya even given her best.. both of them had tied their hands and performed.. who will be the winner.. we will have to wait and see..
Does kids enjoy ??
With Summer Fest of Vijay TV getting to the peak.. the channels tend to telecast super hit hollywood and animation movies everyday. I was not sure whether the kids really like them.. any comments ??
Producers, Multiplex owners fail to reach settlement
The month-long deadlock continues with film producers and plex owners playing hard ball at today's meeting which promised to iron out differences. Producers stuck to their demand of 50 per cent revenue share in the first week of release, something which the multiplex operators have found indisgestible.
UTV, one of the biggest producers, has thrashed out a plan to release its movies outside the national chain of multiplexes. Says UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur, "UTV will proceed to start releasing its big and small movies in single-screen theatres and non-national chain multiplexes nationwide from July onwards. Dates of release of the slate would be announced in due course of time." 8X10 Tasveer was the only big-budget Hindi movie that found way into the multiplexes after 4 April, the day film producers froze fresh content.

TRAI gets nod for consultation on DTH tariff
The Supreme Court, in its direction on Monday, gave a nod to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) to go ahead with its consultations on direct-to-home (DTH) services, related to fixing of tariffs. A bench headed by Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan allowed the regulator to hold consultations with all stakeholders including DTH operators, broadcasters, cable operators and consumers for regulating tariff in DTH. The notice was issued to broadcasters including Zee Turner and ETC Punjabi apart from Tata Sky.
The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) had challenged the Punjab and Haryana High Court order of 9 December, 2008, wherein the court had directed Trai to fix tariffs in relation to DTH content pricing.According to IBF there is no requirement for a fresh tariff regime in case of DTH as the present order is quite objective and no purpose would be served in replicating the exercise all over again.
Speaking to Indiantelevision.com, a senior Trai official said, “The judgement will have no direct impact as the task of fixing the tariff is Trai’s independent domain and can't be controlled by anybody. The Supreme Court has given its assent on our regulatory role.” Earlier on 11 March 2008, DTH operator Tata Sky had filed a writ petition in Punjab and Haryana High Court order against Trai urging the regulator to fix a new tariff regime for the DTH sector for further growth and development. Broadcasters, according to the current tariff regime, will have to offer to DTH its bouquets and channels at 50 per cent of the rates at which these are being offered in non-Cas areas.

KKK @ 500...
Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal had crossed 500 episodes this week.. it was on Monday when the 500th episode was telecasted. For quite lot of times in thier conversation almost everyone were adding this "500 episodes" word. Great to hear that KKK had been going on for quite long time without reducing the way they attract audiance with different crews.. we could see other mega serials in many regional channels goin on for 1000 episodes but they wil be based on story and same actors..but in here the actors/students gets changed and still they attract audiance.. hats off to Kanaa kaanum kaalangal team..
Friendly Match Round, Day 2
First to have a friendly match on this episode was Ravi and Renu. Ravi came with his brother Hari and their "kalloori saalai" from "kadhal desam" was really impressive. Renu was joined by Airtel Super Singer 2008 contestant Aishwarya. They sang "azhagu nilavu" and these guys were even impressive. Judges had a thought and showed hands on Ravi/Hari. But, in turn they gave back the gift to Aishwarya. They fought for Home theatre.
Next it was Ranjani and his father Mr. G.V. Srinivasan to perform "malarnthu malaraatha" and they were touching. I felt the happiness within me for this performance. Prasanna and Airtel Super Singer 2008 contestant Bharthiraja was to compete Ranjani and her father... their "kaadhal kasakuthaiya" was simply superb. Bharathiraja took away the 4GB Mp3 player home.

Renu and her friend Arulazhagan (seems he had participated in Airtel Super Singer 2008 and came up till top 45 before his health problems came) and their "poo vaasam purapadum penne" was ROCKING.. infact Shuba asked them to repeat it even.. Prasanna who was suposed to sing with Aruna was joined by Aruna's sister Rohini.. their "vechikava vechikava" was not bad. It was clearly Renu/Arul who stealed the show with Sony 10 Megapixel Digital Camera.

Ninaithale Inikum..
Star Vijay TV had been coming up with different programs to fill in some of the non-prime time viewership.. these days its become very different with the way many of their programs gets repeated..it is fine if they repeat yesterday's Airtel Super Singer or Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal or Boys Vs Girls... it had become that they started to repeat the KKK of yesteryears ;) yeah sterday I happened to see "Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal Ninaithale Inikum" parts at 7 PM... quite strange... whats happening with them.. its just to fill the gap with some previous hit programs or really care about the viewers???

Repeating again ???
In Namma Veetu Kalyanam.. Vijay TV seems to repeat some of its previous shows but not all. yesterday it was Bhagyaraj's wedding... I donno whats happening with this show. earlier the show tend to be very attractive but as days go. the show is not so attractive. Having said this.. for last 3 weeks the show is repeating their previous episodes.. First it was actor Manoj's wedding.. then it was Pandiarajan's and this week with Bhagyaraj's. Is this going to continue or any patch up work going on..
Anchorer Sivakarthikeyan !!!
It was Jolly week in Boys Vs Girls program and anchor Deepak was not available in the show this week. So, Sivakarthikeyan took the part of anchoring the show with DD.. he was not only anchoring but also performing few numbers ;) This week again it was a teasing number from the boys team where they almost teased all the members of the girls team with their previous performances..
Every week one person from Boys and one from Girls are selected as best performers and they are given Aachi Thaai Veetu Seethanam :)) This week it was still more that they were also giving gold coins.

Magic with Kumbakonam...
It was Kumbakonam this week also in Mayalogam and the show was really boring today.. VeeraShekar was with the public to enact different close up magic with them and good thing about him was he interacts with public and makes them to be part of his magics... today almost all of his magic acts were boring.. lot of acts were with playing cards. We have seen lot of magics with playing cards and it still continues... when he bite the coin and brought it back.. it was the magical moment of the week.. nothing else was so great..
IPL ratings dip in metros
Looks like viewership of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is starting to dip in the metros. Tam data for the six Metros c&s4+ for the five matches from 26 April to 28 April shows that they managed an average TVR of 4.5.
For the first 11 matches played from 18 to 25 April, the average was 4.9. For the new three-day period even Sunday is not enthusing viewers.
Data shows that the match between Bangalore and Delhi on 26 April only managed a rating of 3.7 and the match that was played later the same day between Punjab and Rajasthan did marginally better with a rating of 4.1.
The relevance and importance of matches seems to be playing a more important role in attracting viewers’ interest. The match between Mumbai and Kolkata on 27 April, which was probably the city of Joy's last hope of reaching the semi-finals, got a rating of 6.4 TVR. In Mumbai the match got a rating of 9.85 TVR while in Kolkata it managed a rating of 7.75.
Kolkata continues to watch the IPL the least and the poor performance of the team has not helped. For three of the five matches played from 26-28 April, the rating was below three. Mumbai continues to watch IPL the most. The five matches got an average rating of 5.8 TVR, which is a fall from the rating of 6.1 which the first 11 matches had managed. Delhi too continues to watch the event, averaging a TVR of above 5. A good performance by a side is not necessarily transforming into bigger ratings as the event moves on. Despite the team performing well, Hyderabad saw a steeper fall to 5.2 for the five matches compared with a rating of 5.8 for the first 11 matches. Bangalore has also seen a sharp fall to an average of below three from an average of 3.6 for the first 11 matches.
