King of Pop is no more
The King of Pop is no more. The pop icon who had entertained millions of music lovers across the globe died in a Los Angeles hospital on Thursday. He was 50. Jackson was breathless when the Los Angeles Fire Department reached his home at around 12.30 pm. The paramedics took him to the UCLA Medical Center after performing CPR. But he died at the Los Angeles Hospital. At the time when racial barrier was predominant it was Michael Jackson with his song and dance dominated the world of music. His album Thriller released in the year 1982 still remains the best seller album of all times. It has sold more than 26 million copies. His fall came when he was charged of molesting a 13 year old boy but was ultimately cleared of these accusations and by the time his financial graphs saw a downward slide.
Yet Michael Jackson will be remembered for his feverous dance moves and electrifying voice.

RCom's Mobi TV on GSM
Tamil entertainment to learn more..
Last week, leading director Selva Raghavan and his producer R Ravendran decided at the last minute not to have a live telecast of the audio launch of their eagerly-awaited magnum opus Aayirathil Oruvan. And the reason ? Says Selva Raghavan, "The logistics involved for producing a live entertainment programme, such as an audio launch of a film, is an uphill task. So, we requested the television channel to telecast it after canning and editing the programme." Recently, a leading Tamil TV channel showed a film-based programme live, but had to cut off a speech by one of the speakers, who suddenly took the mike and waxed eloquent. The programme ended abruptly, as the speakers had used up all the air time the channel had allotted.
Says a top television cameraman, who has covered both live cricket and film programmes, "In cricket, there is a commercial break after every over or fall of wicket, to adjust the errors one might have made. In case of live audio launches or award functions, one can't afford to goof up because it is a continuous show and errors will be blatantly visible." According to a report, there are no takers for advertising spots for live film programmes in Tamil at the channel's rate. At the same time, if it is a canned and crisply edited show, it attracts advertisers. The organisers shall also learn from the Oscars better known in television parlance as Academy Awards Night - Live. On this show, every speaker is told the exact seconds he can speak. The special performances are rehearsed well in advance so that everything works with clockwork precision on the night of the show. But, here in Kollywood, can anyone dare to inform the Kollywood biggies to restrict their speech to their stipulated time ?

Achamundu Achamundu Special..
It was Achamundu Achamundu team @ Koffee with Anu sterday and it was like a promotional episode for the film ;).. the show was good and I got to know more information about the film. The Film has actor Prasanna and actress Sneha in the lead roles... this film is being directed by Arun Vaidyanathan and produced by SPB Charan's capital works & an US media company. Arun Vaidyanathan was a software engineer and later he directed around 8-10 hollywood short films. This film Achamundu achamundu is being shooted only in USA and its about an ordinary NRI settled in Colombia.. this show had Sneha first speaking about her entry into film career and later followed by Prasanna.. he even said about his entry into tamil film industry when he dropped out of his engineering for films :).. Arun Vaidyanathan joined them and spoke about the film for some time.. the music of the film is by Karthik Raja and seems that the film had already got some awards in shangai film festival.
Later it was Sneha and Prasanna to have rapid fire questions by Anu.. it was my favourite segment with any guests and this time even it was very good.. both had a question on half way through your favourite project you get a scene that requires swinsuit.. what will u react ??.. Prasanna said .. he will work out and Sneha said a big NO. when Sneha said about a old person immitating her commercial in public. I was not able to control my smile ;).. thne the show had Coffee tarro and koffee award.. they both gave the award to director Susi Ganesan who is the first director for the both the actors..
Talking Myena
Some can talk, some can only talk. Talking and Listening has become very important part of our life. Actually many must be wondering how come this paragraph starts with the words some can talk, while all with a mouth and a tongue can talk. But the fact is not all that which comes out from the mouth is talking. It is not people who think, 'they have a mouth and hence can talk', who can talk but it is those who look consciously for ears who can talk. It is this inseparable pair, a mouth and as many ears which gives the sense to talking. More the ears, better and popular the speaker.
Singing is a talent, which is different from a speech for it is about musical notes in a voice. Both Singing and talking can succeed only if the ears permits. And it is very rare that a single voice can do both with ease. Singers bring in their voice, feelings of sadness, joy, drama, shock etc etc and connect it with the listening ears and through it the heart, by their melodies and less noise. Speakers are also like musicians for they use their words instead of voice to connect. The connect is common. They both help their audience 'connect' with their emotions. Many musicians seldom speak, for may be it counter productive or may be it interferes in the quality of their voice. Very few like SPB and Chinmayi can do both with equal ease and with absolute no discomfort to either talent. The gift of the gab and the voice is bestowed on them.
Chinmayi knows many languages and is a popular singer. Also she can master any show by her elegant eloquence. She became a singer because of a TV program and she became an accomplished anchor again because of a TV show. She was a popular RJ, till the end of May in Aahaa FM in which she was a part right from it's inception. She in the end of last year abruptly disconnected herself from a popular TV show Airtel super singer for which she was the Anchor. Surprisingly it was malini who replaced her in both, raising eyebrows and a question whether it is sheer coincidence or more than what meets the eye.
Malini's confidence and elegance is of course her strength and her ability to cheer any audience is her forte. To compare Malini and Chinmayi is wrong for both have very different strength's. In fact may be it is unfair to Chinmayi to compare them. As for as RJing is concerned Malini is no less proficient for she had earlier anchored many shows, won many beauty pagents in Malaysia, and had headed Swarnoli, a FM station in Lanka. She is a Sinhalese by birth, brought up in Malaysia and lives in Chennai only after Marriage. So her accent is no way local and has all the mix of Lanka and Malaya. But then a Tamil ear likes an offbeat accent. An anchor of a sol vilayattu never can get more popular than a 'isai kudumbam'.
But what pains is should one talent grow only at the expense of another? Is there not enough space for a proper and decent co existence? Why should one chase and shoo the other to make a living?
Chinmayi is suddenly seeing many complex situations. Her voice is suddenly pulled out of AIR and her presence is very seldom in the small screen too. Now there is also competition in the dubbing field too, where a small group have ganged together as an union and are aiming to prevent RJ's from becoming Dubbing artiste. So it looks like the parrots have ganged against a talking Myena. The some who can talk only are edging out the very less who can also talk, it seems.
Chinmayi is a multi faceted person and is immensely Intelligent and talented and surely she will find her space which will only be big. When a door shuts it is always a key for a bigger door. Apples do not grow everywhere, surely not in Chennai, but is sought everywhere.

Junior getting delayed ??
Interview with VJ Ramya
I found this interview with VJ Ramya floating in the internet and its almost a year old now..
-By Ergo Correspondent
Your dad is a lawyer, what made you take up VJing as a career?
I always aspired to choose a different career path, not sticking to the usual professions like medicine, law, engineering, etc. After passing out of 12th standard, I planned to pursue fashion designing in UK. I even went there to check out the different colleges but my parents were not comfortable with sending me abroad. I landed up doing Viscom in MOP and here I am as a VJ.
What is the secret behind your successful stint as a VJ?
Dedication and hardwork. I am a person who is very passionate about my profession and give it the utmost priority. I believe in the saying, “Do your best and God will do the rest.” I proudly call myself a Vijay TV product.
Tell us about one of your most unforgettable VJing experience
Once, while shooting for a celebration episode of Kallaka Povadhu Yaaru 4, Badava Gopi was the chief guest. He came up on stage and shook my hands and kept on pulling my leg when the camera was rolling. Spontaneously I managed the situation and made it look like a comic situation. It was hilarious and we all enjoyed it.
The one thing you would advice aspiring VJs?
Try to be original and do not ape existing VJs. Confidence is the key, and forget the myth that VJs should speak more of English and less of tamil. Be yourself and convey what you want to with clarity.
Compliments which you cherish
I had compered for the audio release of ‘Kuselan’ and ‘Superstar’ Rajini sir, who is always my star, came up to me and complimented my tamil. That is one moment which I will cherish forever. Also I has gone abroad to host a show for the film ‘Periyar’ and I had to give utmost importance to my tamil diction. Sathyaraj sir complimented my efforts.
