This week on ‘Arasan Soap Namma Veetu Kalyanam’ features the wedding of Actor Sridevi, the youngest daughter of Actors Vijayakumar and Manjula Vijayakumar. Sridevi was engaged to an NRI named Rahul in March 2009 and was married last June. Her wedding witnessed all the top notch celebrities from the film fraternity including the Super star Rajnikanth, Ulaganayagan Kamalhaasan and yester-year beauty Sridevi and husband Boney Kapur.
The wedding celebration spread over three days includes the ‘Mehandi’, the grand marriage and receptions at Hyderabad and at Chennai. The ‘Mehandi’ night, saw the bride in a ‘palanquin’ carried by her father Vijayakumar, her brother Arun Vijay and her brother-in-law, Director Hari. While the bride was brought in a palanquin, the groom was brought in a chariot which was heavily decorated with flowers and silk.
Mehandi night was also a star studded night where the bride’s close friends from the film industry like Actors Prabhu Dheva, Simbu, Trisha, Sneha, Jyothika, Abbas, Eram Ali, Sonia Agarwal, Sangeetha, and many other popular faces from the industry took part at the celebration, danced and played anthakshari. Wedding – the time to reunite with entire family. Sridevi’s wedding was nothing less! Sridevi’s four sisters and brother along with all other family members were a part of this grand celebration. Radhika-Sarathkumar, Aishwarya-Dhanush, Jeyam Ravi-Aarthi, Kushboo, Reemaa, Sanghavi, Meena, Maheshwari, Vikram, Sivakumar, Chandrasekar, Parthibhan and many others were a part of this fabulous wedding.
